In our modern world, temptation is rarely something we have to go looking for. It usually finds us first, often glowing right in the palms of our hands or showing up in our social circles. But God’s instruction for handling these moments isn't to stand our ground and try to fight using sheer willpower.

Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
His command is incredibly simple and urgent: run away. In real life, fleeing might look like putting your phone in another room when you're alone at night. It could mean changing the channel, leaving a conversation that's crossing a line, or setting firm physical boundaries in a dating relationship.
We aren't asked to run because God wants to ruin our fun, but because He deeply values us. He knows that stepping outside His design for intimacy doesn't just break a rule; it fractures our own hearts and minds. By choosing to pivot and walk away from temptation, we are actually choosing to protect the beautiful, God-given bodies and souls we've been entrusted with.
Dear Lord, thank You for loving me enough to set boundaries that protect my heart and mind. Please give me the spiritual reflexes to recognize temptation immediately and the courage to run the other way. Help me to honor You with my body today and every day. Amen.
