But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.

Acts 1:8 · Power
Reflection 1

It is easy to feel entirely unqualified to talk about your faith with the people around you. We often trick ourselves into believing we need a theology degree or the perfect words to make a difference. But Jesus promises something much better than human expertise to equip us for the task.

Reflection 2

The strength we are promised isn't about being loud, pushy, or having all the answers. Instead, it is a quiet, steady courage supplied directly by the Holy Spirit. This divine energy gives us the ability to love difficult people, serve selflessly, and naturally share what God has done in our lives.

Reflection 3

You don't have to buy a plane ticket to start living out this mission today. Your "Jerusalem" is simply your living room, your breakroom at work, or the checkout line at the grocery store. By leaning on the Spirit's strength, you can be a beacon of hope right where you already stand.

Reflection 4

Today, take the pressure off yourself to perform perfectly. Ask God to fill you with His strength and look for one simple opportunity to encourage someone else. When you rely on His power rather than your own, you will be amazed at how He uses your everyday conversations.

Prayer

Dear Lord, thank You for not leaving me to figure out this life on my own. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit today and give me the gentle courage to share Your love with someone in my path. Amen.
