Acts 10:38 · Healing
Reflection 1

When we think about Jesus, it is easy to picture him only doing massive, earth-shattering miracles. But this description of his daily life is wonderfully simple: he went around doing good and bringing healing. He paid attention to the everyday people who were hurting, beaten down, and overlooked by society.

Reflection 2

Jesus didn't do this out of his own human exhaustion; he did it because God was with him and empowered him. As followers of Jesus, we have access to that exact same Holy Spirit today. We don't have to muster up the strength to heal and help others entirely on our own.

Reflection 3

You can live this out today by simply looking for ways to bring healing to your corner of the world. It might look like praying for a sick friend, listening to a coworker who is carrying a heavy emotional burden, or dropping off a meal for a struggling neighbor. Every time you step into someone's pain with love, you are continuing the healing work of Jesus.

Reflection 4

You don't need special training or a theology degree to make a real difference. You just need a willing heart and a quiet reliance on God's presence. Step out today, look for opportunities to do good, and trust that God is with you as you bring his healing light to others.

Prayer

Dear Lord, thank you for the beautiful example of Jesus, who walked this earth bringing goodness and healing. Fill me with your Holy Spirit today so I can notice the hurting people around me and offer them your comfort. Give me the courage to step out and do good, knowing you are always with me. Amen.
