We often introduce ourselves by what we do or who we are related to. Think about how quickly you label yourself as a parent, a professional, or a friend. But those earthly roles can change, disappear, or leave us feeling exhausted when we try to keep up appearances.

For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.
Before you are anything else today, you belong to the Creator of the universe. When you put your trust in Jesus, your primary identity becomes a deeply loved family member. You don't have to earn your place at the table or hustle for your Father's approval.
Walk into your workplace, your home, or your neighborhood today with your head held high. When insecurity creeps in or someone criticizes you, pause and remind yourself of whose family you belong to. Let the pressure off your shoulders, knowing your everyday worth is already completely secure.
Dear Lord, thank You for adopting me into Your family and giving me a secure identity. When I am tempted to measure my worth by what I do or what others think, remind me that I am Your beloved child. Help me to live today with the confidence and peace that comes from belonging to You. Amen.
