We often try to build our identity around our jobs, our appearance, or what other people think of us. It is exhausting trying to keep up an image that feels impressive or secure. But your true worth was decided long before you ever had to prove yourself. You were designed to reflect the very nature of your Creator.
This means your value isn't something you can earn, and it's not something you can lose on a bad day. When you look in the mirror, you aren't just looking at a collection of flaws or a list of past mistakes. You are looking at a living, breathing masterpiece carrying the fingerprints of God.
Today, let that truth change how you treat yourself and the people around you. When you feel insecure, remind yourself that the God of the universe made you on purpose. And when you interact with a frustrating coworker or family member, take a deep breath and remember that they carry that same sacred image, too.
Dear Lord, thank You for designing me with purpose and giving me an identity that cannot be taken away. Help me to see myself and everyone I meet today through Your eyes, treating us all as bearers of Your beautiful image. Amen.
