My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to me. Because you have forgotten your God’s law, I will also forget your children.

Hosea 4:6 · Knowledge
Reflection 1

Have you ever tried to assemble a piece of furniture without looking at the instructions? You usually end up frustrated, with leftover parts and a wobbly bookshelf. Life works the exact same way when we try to navigate it without seeking God's instructions.

Reflection 2

The kind of knowledge God desires for us isn't about memorizing historical dates or winning Bible trivia. It is a deep, relational understanding of who He is and how He designed us to live. When we ignore His Word, we end up making decisions that harm ourselves, our relationships, and our families.

Reflection 3

Fortunately, God has made His truth incredibly accessible to us today. We can choose to open our Bibles, listen to an encouraging podcast, or spend a few quiet moments soaking in His wisdom. Building a daily habit of seeking His truth acts as a protective guardrail for our everyday choices.

Reflection 4

Today, take an honest look at where you might be making decisions based on culture's advice rather than God's truth. Ask Him to give you a genuine hunger for His Word. When we know His heart through His guidance, we can build stronger, more purposeful lives.

Prayer

Dear Lord, thank You for giving us Your Word so we don't have to stumble through life in the dark. Please give me a deep desire to know You more and the discipline to seek Your truth every single day. Help me to apply what I learn so that my life and family can thrive in Your grace. Amen.
