Jesus uses this everyday picture of family to show us the heart of God. If we know how to be generous, imagine the limitless generosity of our perfect Father. He doesn't just hand us temporary fixes; He offers us His very presence and power through the Holy Spirit.
We often drift through our days relying entirely on our own limited energy, patience, and wisdom. But you don't have to run on empty. When you face a stressful meeting, a difficult relationship, or an overwhelming decision today, just pause and ask Him for help.
God is waiting to trade your exhaustion for His strength. You don't need a fancy spiritual formula to receive this incredible power. Just come as a child to a loving Father, ask for His Spirit to fill you, and trust that He is eager to give you exactly what you need.
Dear Lord, thank You for being a perfect Father who loves to give good gifts. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit today so I can rely on Your power instead of my own strength. Amen.
