When pride comes, then comes shame, but with humility comes wisdom.

Proverbs 11:2 · Humility
Reflection 1

We all want to be right. It feels good to win an argument or show off what we know to the people around us. But pushing too hard to prove our point usually ends up damaging our relationships and leaving us feeling foolish.

Reflection 2

True wisdom isn't about having all the answers; it's about being willing to learn. When we choose to step back and admit we might be wrong, we open the door to actually growing. It takes real courage to say, "I don't know," or "I'm sorry."

Reflection 3

Try a little experiment today when you feel the quick urge to defend yourself or prove someone wrong. Instead of digging your heels in, take a deep breath and ask a genuine question to understand their side. You might be surprised by how much peace and wisdom this simple shift brings to your day.

Prayer

Dear Lord, please help me to let go of my need to always be right today. Soften my heart to learn from others and choose humility over my own pride. Give me the quiet wisdom that comes from trusting You instead of myself. Amen.
