The heart of the discerning gets knowledge. The ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

Proverbs 18:15 · Knowledge
Reflection 1

It is incredibly easy to fall into the trap of thinking we have life all figured out. We form our opinions, settle into our routines, and often close ourselves off to new ways of thinking. But true growth requires us to stay humble and curious.

Reflection 2

Notice how real wisdom involves both the heart and the ears working together. It is an active posture of listening rather than just waiting for our turn to speak. When we face a disagreement at work or a misunderstanding at home, our first step should not be to prove our point. Instead, we should pause and sincerely try to understand the other person's perspective.

Reflection 3

Today, challenge yourself to be a relentless learner. Ask a thoughtful question, read something outside your usual comfort zone, or simply listen to a friend without interrupting. When we open our ears to learn, we make room for God to stretch and grow our hearts.

Prayer

Dear Lord, give me a teachable spirit and the humility to keep learning. Help me to be quick to listen, eager to grow, and open to the wisdom You place in my path today. Amen.
