Proverbs 19:20 · Wisdom
Reflection 1

It can be tough to hear that we might be doing something wrong or that there is a better way to handle a situation. Our natural instinct is often to get defensive when someone offers advice. But true growth starts the moment we lower our shields and genuinely listen.

Reflection 2

Think about a current challenge you are facing at work, in a relationship, or with your daily habits. Instead of trying to figure it all out on your own, look for someone who has successfully navigated that same road. Ask them for their honest input, and resist the urge to interrupt or justify your past choices while they share.

Reflection 3

The small choices we make today are actively writing the story of our future. When we welcome correction and guidance now, we are investing in our future peace and stability. Let's choose to be teachable today so we can enjoy the beautiful, steady fruit of a life well-lived tomorrow.

Prayer

Dear Lord, please give me a humble and teachable heart today. Help me to truly listen when others offer wise advice, so that I can grow stronger in my faith and character. Guide my steps now so my future honors You. Amen.
