Proverbs 4:25 · Focus
Reflection 1

It is so easy to get distracted by what everyone else is doing. We scroll through social media, seeing the highlight reels of friends and strangers, and suddenly we feel left behind. Or we get caught up looking back at our own past mistakes, wondering what we could have done differently.

Reflection 2

But true progress happens when we stop looking side to side or backward. God has a specific, unique path laid out just for you, and you can't walk it well if you aren't looking where you're going. Living with purpose requires a little bit of tunnel vision.

Reflection 3

Today, pay attention to where your focus drifts. When you catch yourself comparing your journey to someone else's or dwelling on yesterday's regrets, gently bring your attention back to the present. Ask yourself what good thing God is calling you to do right now, and give that your full attention.

Prayer

Dear Lord, help me to keep my attention on the path You have for me today. When distractions and comparisons try to pull me off course, gently guide my focus back to Your purpose. Give me the courage to take my next step with confidence, in Jesus' name, Amen.
