We all have those moments when our attitudes get messy. Maybe jealousy creeps in, anger takes over, or we find ourselves holding onto a stubborn grudge. It is easy to try fixing our outward behavior, but the real issue usually starts deep inside.
Real change does not happen by just trying harder to act like a good person. It requires handing our messy emotions over to the One who can actually transform them. When we feel our thoughts turning negative or selfish, we can pause in that exact moment and ask for a complete inner reset.
Today, pay attention to your underlying motives and your quick reactions. If you notice bitterness or a critical mindset bubbling up, do not just push it down or pretend it is not there. Invite God into that specific space and let Him sweep the corners of your mind, giving you a fresh, healthy perspective.
Dear God, I know my attitudes and motives can get cluttered with things that do not honor You. Please sweep out the negativity, selfishness, and pride hiding inside me today. Give me a fresh, joyful perspective and a renewed desire to love others well. Amen.
