We spend most of our lives earning things. We work for a paycheck, strive for good grades, and hustle for approval from others. It is completely natural to think we have to earn God's love exactly the same way.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
But God’s economy works differently than ours. If we relied on what we actually earned through our own behavior, we would be left completely bankrupt and separated from Him. Instead, He interrupts our exhausting hustle with something completely unexpected.
Living out this truth today means stepping off the treadmill of trying to be good enough. When you make a mistake, you don't need to spiral into guilt or try to pay God back. You simply acknowledge your need for Him and rest in the grace He has already provided.
Accept His grace today by opening your hands rather than clenching your fists in effort. Let the reality of His goodness change how you treat others, offering them the same patience you have received. You are deeply loved, and all you have to do is say thank you.
Dear Lord, thank You for offering me what I could never earn on my own. Help me to stop striving and simply rest in the incredible gift of Your grace today. Amen.
